After receiving such a positive reaction to the ruffle cake on my Gorgeous Wedding Cake blog post, and seeing these adorable Ruffle Belts on the Outstanding Occasions Blog, I figured I could safely say that romantic ruffles will be a top wedding trend in 2010.

Another big trend I expect to see in 2010 is the use of the color and fruit, lemon. The crisp yellow tone and citrus scent invokes a renewed spirit and feelings of happiness.

Pantone has announced that turquoise is the 2010 color of the year. “Turquoise is an inviting, luminous hue, as the color of the year for 2010. Combining the serene qualities of blue and the invigorating aspects of green, Turquoise evokes thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a languorous, effective escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.”

When it comes to trends in diamonds we have seen the Past, Present and Future Collection and the Journey Collection as well as a few others.

The newest trend? De Beers has just introduced the Everlon Diamond Knot Collection. The Everlon Diamond Knot Collection was named in honor of the strength of love, because the only thing as strong as a diamond is love itself.
