DIY Rustic Save-the-Dates
Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 1:30PM We’re always on the lookout for new ways to amp up your save-the-dates. Rustic is fast-becoming a favorite among themes, and today we’re going to show you some of the most basic and unique ways to do this at home.
Step 1: Think adventure!
It's a simple one, and so much fun to work with. Think adventure. Think roads and mountains and hiking trails and dirt (well, maybe not actual dirt).
Try what this couple did. They included road maps with their save-the-dates showing the location of the wedding.

Step 2: Try wood.
For every rustic wedding, you are sure to find woodsy elements. In fact, try actual wood. We've certainly posted about using tree stump decor in the past, and it hasn't failed us yet.
These wooden save-the-dates double in use as magnets.

Step 3: Get eco-friendly.
Using great save-the-dates doesn't mean missing out on being earth-friendly. Make your own paper or use recycled material for your save-the-dates. There's even an online shop that features responsible paper made from (I kid you not) animal waste.

Step 4: If all else fails, accessorize.
Don't laugh. This is a great way to tap into your own creativity.Think of some of your favorite rustic elements and find new ways to bring them into your save the dates. Here are some common rustic elements you can consider: Twine, pine cones, frames, books, burlap material.
