Gourmet Apples for your Wedding
Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 1:30PM As autumn quietly approaches, we begin to get excited for the feel and flavors of fall.
One of my favorites is apple. It's so characteristic of autumn colors and textures. If you're planning for a fall wedding, gourmet apples would be a perfect sweet treat for your guests.

When it comes to the dip, there are a number of choices you can make here.
For traditional candied apples, My Recipes has a good tutorial. If you're all about the homemade caramel, try Our Best Bites. As for those with a real sweet tooth, Bite Delight shows you how to melt down chocolate and tops with your choice of crushed nuts and candy.

Looking to get a little extra creative? Try miniature gourmet apples-- they will save you time and supplies! Spoonful has a recipe for a bite-sized version of the treat using a melon baller and lollipop sticks.
Allyson Baker got creative by taking small twigs from her backyard and stuck them through the apple centers for a rustic look.

Any way you go, you can't go wrong! Use the gourmet apples as part of your dessert bar, or wrap them up and hand out as takeaway treats.
