Couples receive a number of cards through the wedding process. It’s a lot to keep track of, especially if you receive a number of cards that carry a lot of sentimental value.
There’s a fantastic DIY from Something Turquoise you can use to not only save your cards, but keep them together. These wedding card albums make great keepsakes after the wedding. Here's how to start:
To figure out the size of your wedding card album, pick out the largest card in the group. Use two pieces of cardboard from your list of materials and cut about a quarter of an inch past each side of your largest card.
This next step is more fun. Decorate your album cover! Something Turquoise suggests pattered paper, ribbon, and stamps, and glittered letters. Once your front and back covers are completed, go ahead and gather your wedding cards, measure and punch holes in the sides. Make sure the holes are large enough for scrapbooking rings to bind them together.
Insert your wedding cards into the scrapbooking rings (make sure your covers are in place as well). Close up the rings and you’re done!
