Venue Spotlight: Historic H. Breeding Farm

A couple months ago, I visited a wonderful ceremony/reception site in Bartholomew County, Indiana. The Historic Henry Breeding Farm is located in Edinburgh - about 2 miles away from the outlet mall, hotels and dining. It is perfect for couples looking for a rustic venue for their reception. They also have plenty of land perfect for a ceremony.

A few facts about the barn and the property:

Size of the barn: 3500 square feet (can seat up to 300 without a dance floor - 250 with a dance floor)

Amenities provided with rental:

  • Ample parking
  • 180 metal folding chairs
  • 25 6-foot banquet tables
  • Kitchen with standard size stove
  • Refrigerator, and double sinks
  • Male and female restrooms (not in barn)
  • Factors to consider:

  • The barn is not heated or air conditioned. Rental is not advised after October or before May.
  • While there is a house on property, it is not available to rent. If you choose to have your ceremony at the farm, you will have to get ready elsewhere.
  • Here are some pictures I took during my visit:
(note: the plastic covered items in the barn would be removed for an event) :)

Erinn - Wow a fun place for a wedding, you can really see how beautiful it would be inside!

Allison - I just booked my wedding & reception there and am super excited! There is so much potential (with a little bit of effort)! Thanks for sharing the photos
