1. How long have you been a professional photographer?
6, going on 7 years.
2. Describe your style.
I’d say I’m a documentary photographer or photojournalist. Whatever you call it, I want couples to have photos that are genuine. I think they deserve photos that are beautiful, but still recall events and emotions they way they really happened with little or no memory of me being there. Even with portrait time, where I’m coaching or directing, they deserve images that are true to their personalities, not just something I as a photographer want to do for my portfolio. Everything should be about portraying their wedding sincerely.
3. Career wise, if you weren’t a photographer, what would you be doing now?
Well, I’ve already had another career so I’m blessed to be doing what I really love now. If you forced me to choose something besides photography, I’d have to say I’d be in missions or service somewhere.
4. What is something that few people know about you?
Almost cliche for guys these days, but I love to cook. Alton Brown is my hero!
5. If you could give a couple one piece of advice when choosing a photographer, what would it be?
Choosing your photographer isn’t so different from falling in love with your spouse – weird but in a lot of ways true! It should be the perfect combination of mutual trust, respect, and passion.
